Nicole Kidman as a goodwill ambassador
Actress Nicole Kidman is U.N. goodwill ambassador and she has a duty to raise expansiveness and solidarity to people about world’s biggest problems. Last Tuesday she spoke about violence against women that should become a global priority. The actress said that millions of people have joined a campaign to fight violence against women.
Promoting her new film “Australia” she has a press conference where she mentioned mining of this problem: “I think in some ways I’ve always been heading towards wanting to put some meaning into my life and this is probably how I see myself doing it! The reason I chose the subject of women is because I was raised by a mother who was very passionate about … having her daughters educated, and wanted her daughters to have an equal opportunity1 I was the product of that, and now I’m out there hoping to pass on to the next generation and work in a greater capacity then just as an actress!”

Nicole Kidman said that she enjoyed filming with Hugh Jackman on the set of “Australia”. The movie was made in northwestern Australia, on a remote ranch in the Kimberly region and in Darwin on incredible hot weather.

When she was asked what she wants to do in her career she said: “I’m in a place in my life where I’ve had some great opportunities, and I may just choose to have some more children,” she said. “There’s many things I want to do besides act!“

About her pregnacy she said: “I’m so lucky I’m so tall, so I carried small and also, I have to say, I had a birth that I was blessed with, a labor that was very good and a baby that was very good to me in that regard! To be given this again is a beautiful thing. To have raised Bella and Connor since I was 25 and now to be able to do it again at 41 … wow!”
