She said that 9 is a “boy’s club!” and added: “Is the boys’ club going to change? In my opinion, sadly, no, it doesn’t seem like it!”
For the people who doesn’t know, this former reporter of Channel 9 was released of her work in that station, because of the sex and racial discrimination.
From Channel 9 denounced that they are satisfied to know that this case is finally over.Jeff Browne told that this was “senseless case without any merit”.
Christine Spiteri actually got huge summ of money, if we could belive to rumors it was $100 000. From Nine said that it was agreeable summary.
Jeff Browne said :”We’ve made an offer for basically nuisance value and we are happy that, finally, some common sense has prevailed and the matter is at an end! I don’t believe for a minute that there was any merit in any of the allegations about harassment or discrimination, but the amount we have paid is probably less than what she would have earned, had she continued with the rest of her contract. We are not unhappy with the payment and we are very happy that it has been resolved”
